Smith Temple Trinity

Believers' Faith Is Our Power

Smith Temple Church of God in Christ is a church moving to provide a wholistic approach to edifying, educating, and preparing people to know, understand, and do God's will.

The body of Smith Temple Church of God in Christ seeks to fulfill the spiritual needs of people within and without the physical church. We seek to fulfill bodily needs (food, housing, education, skills, etc.) of the people within and without the physical church. And, we seek to increase membership in the Body of Christ. This is our mission.

Know that all are welcome to fellowship, share and, grow in the Lord.

Join Us each Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. for Sunday School and 11:30 a.m. for Worship Service. Feel free to also join us each Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. for Bible Study.

Prayer Is What We Do

praying handsIn Matthew 18:20 the Word of God says, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." However, the verse before that, Matthew 18:19, "Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven", lends power to verse 20. Coming together in prayer affords the opportunity to place both of these actions in play.

Last year, Smith Temple Church joined with Holy City Church, of Moscow, Alabama, to gather monthly for prayer and supplication. Holy City Church, under the leadership of Pastor Steve Gunter and Evangelist Sheila Gunter, are led to be used by God to be moved by the Holy Spirit to usher in the power of the Lord Jesus Christ through prayer. Pastor Werdell Kirk, along with Pastor and Evangelist Gunter, have committed to having monthly prayer services, totally focused on prayer, at whatever church desires to hold a service of prayer.

Many people have been healed, edified, and blessed in these monthly prayer services. We invite you to join us. To find out where and when the next prayer service will convene, please go to the calendar. All are welcome. Come to pray and to seek prayer. For driving directions and/or contact information, please go to the contact page. May God bless you abundantly.

Help Us To Provide Disaster Relief

Disaster Relief Donation “The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.” (Matthew 25:40 NIV)

Pastor Werdell Kirk is asking for your help and support of the victims of the storms that have recently moved across the United States. As can be imagined, with the various tornadoes and flooding, the country has experienced substantial damage to its infrastructure, businesses and homes. Additionally, hundreds of Americans have experienced fatalities, injuries and, displacement. It is difficult to anticipate the devastation experienced by our brothers and sisters across the country. But consider this, it could very easily have been your home and you too would hope and desire that others would reach out to you. So, be a blessing and be blessed. Together, by the power of the Lord Jesus Christ, we can overcome to glorify God and celebrate the victories that He has provided.
